Tokens, Trash, or Tarot Cards

"Tokens, Trash, or Tarot Cards" is the debut album from the Gecko Club.  A sonic blend of Replacements-meets-Waterboys-meets-Smashing Pumpkins, the album received a number of excellent critical reviews.  Highlights from the record include "KellyAnne Sometimes", "Hard to Believe", "Box of Clay", "Fall", "Above St. Croix", "The Present", and "Lighthouse".

About the Recording

The Gecko Club's full-length debut was recorded in Naperville, IL with a relatively small amount of gear. With Tom and Andy living in different states, the album was recorded and mixed over many weekends.

On the record....

Of all the memories I have from recording 'Tokens', there is one that will be permanently etched in my mind forever.  Here's how it plays out, randomness and all:

Driving on 65 South heading out of Chicago area....wow, it got cold quickly...the mixes are sounding good....I feel like I'll explode if we don't get this done soon...oh my God.....what the?.....shoot, black ice....traffic at dead stop.....3 hours staring at the back of a dirty white semi.....but the mixes sound good...it'll be alright.
